But, Was My Pump Organ Really Restored?
This is a very good question. Having a pump organ restored can be a little like taking your car to the shop. You’ve got the bill, but was the
work really done and was it done correctly? After all, most of us aren’t mechanics, so how do we know if the car (or pump organ in this case) was
really repaired (or restored)?
All my restoration work comes with about 150 to 200 guarantees that the work was done - and done right. Each restoration project I do involves
taking about 150 to 200 photographs of the step by step process.
When I deliver the restored pump organ back to the customer, I sit down with them and conduct a slide presentation of the entire restoration
project. In this way they know that the work was done and done right.
Then, after my photo presentation is over, I present the owner with the CD so they now have a historical record of what was done to their pump
organ, when it was done and how it was done. To date, every one of my customers has been delighted to have some assurance or documentation that
their organ was really restored.
